Tournament
|
For the second time in France, the Gais Musette association will organize a same-sex ballroom and latin dance competition during Paris International Tournament. The event will be held on Saturday, May 26th 2012 for female couples and male couples.
The Gais Musette will also lead the Sports Village closing ball on Sunday, May 27th. The ball will be open to everybody, including confirmed or beginner dancers or people who just want to give dancing a try. And, even if you're not in the mood for dancing, you should come anyway, since ballroom dancing is also a wonderful show and great fun to watch.
The Gais Musette is a LGBT organization that organizes activities around partner dances. We are driven by our desire to dance, to party, to talk and to smile. Dancing breaks down the barriers between Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans and straight partners.
Girls dancing with girls, boys dancing with boys, boys and girls dancing together with the girls taking the lead – or the opposite.
All along the year, the Gais Musette organize :
- quarterly dancing classes (10 sessions) and summer classes for rock, salsa, cha-cha-cha, rumba, samba, paso doble, Viennese waltz, quickstep, slow waltz, foxtrot, tango...
- Carnival Interlope (costume ball with great variety of dance styles in February-March)
- balls every month
- a week-long summer training camp in the South-West of France
- picnics by the Seine (June to September)
- an open-air ball for the music festival and other occasions
